Prepare for a career as an economist by focusing on the core elements of economic analysis and methods. Study microeconomics, macroeconomics and econometrics before specialising in subfields of economics. Teaching is arranged in cooperation with Aalto University and Hanken School of Economics.

Environmental Change and Global Sustainability │ Master’s programme
Learn to tackle global environmental and sustainability challenges by integrating both natural and social sciences perspectives. You can study topics like food and sustainability, climate studies, indigenous studies, urban studies, global land use or Baltic sea studies.
European and Nordic Studies │ Master’s programme
Learn about European societies, politics and culture, with a Nordic twist, and get the keys to understand the world around you and in the end, transform it. This is the only programme in the Nordic countries where you can specialise in Nordic Studies in English.
Food Sciences │ Master’s programme
Study the whole food production chain from primary production via food processing to consumers. Explore innovations in food and how to improve the healthiness, safety, ecology and ethics of food and food processing. Develop laboratory skills and learn about food composition and legislation.
Forest Sciences │ Master’s programme
Become a professional in forest ecology, the management and use of forest resources or forest bioeconomy business and policy. You get a broad and versatile perspective on forests and their use by studying biology, business economics, environmental sciences, logistics, geoinformatics and IT.
Genetics and Molecular Biosciences │ Master’s programme
Get in-depth knowledge and skills in modern genetics and molecular biosciences. You can specialise according to your own interests in Biochemistry and Structural Biology, Cell and Developmental Biology, Genetics and Genomics or Molecular Analytical Health Biosciences.
Geography │ Master's programme
Get strong theoretical and practical skills and a broad understanding in current social and environmental issues by specialising in different areas of geography: physical geography, geoinformatics or urban and human geography & spatial planning.
Geology and Geophysics │ Master’s programme
Learn to address pressing questions concerning our home planet's evolution, its role as the source of raw materials and environmental issues. You can study Petrology and Economic Geology, Hydrogeology and Environmental Geology, Palaeontology and Global Change and Solid Earth Geophysics.
Global Governance Law │ Master’s programme
Develop the skills to understand and deal with the challenges of globalising law. Study public international law, European Union law, global administrative law and advanced human rights law, examine international institutions, decision-making and governance in the EU, or specialise in Russian or Chinese law.
