- Drug Sensitivity and Resistance Testing (DSRT) platform enables doctors and researchers to test effects of large numbers of pharmacological compounds in primary or established cell lines of their choice.
- Doctors use DSRT as part of the Individualized Systems Medicine (ISM) program in which primary cells freshly isolated from cancer patients are being tested for sensitivity to a set of approved or experimental drugs. This approach helps doctors to choose the best treatment for a given individual cancer patient at a given time.
- Researchers use DSRT as a chemical tool to explore functional properties, identify candidate therapeutic targets and relevant pathways in their cellular models.
*** The DSRT is primarily for research purposes. It is not (yet) approved for clinincal use and remains experimental in nature. All tests on patients' material should be initiated through patient's primary point of care and only his/her doctor can interpret the DSRT results and make the decision on the most suitable treatment option.
