The kitchen also provides packed lunches for hikers and catering for festivities. Our experienced professional chefs can accommodate food allergies and dietary restrictions upon request.
The dining room is located just left of the main entrance to the Main Building.
In low season, meals are scheduled according to agreement. You can book your meals in advance at the office. You can also book meals on a daily basis once you have arrived by adding your name and any dietary restrictions in a list provided outside the dining room. Sign up for breakfast on the previous day and for lunch and dinner by 9:00 on the same day.
Please inform the kitchen staff and office of any food allergies and other dietary restrictions before arriving at the station.
Instead of having lunch at the station, you can opt to pack your own lunch in connection with breakfast. If you need a packed lunch, please notify the kitchen staff the day before.
The station kitchen is closed for a few weeks in the winter. During this time, visitors can prepare their meals in the guest kitchens. Check the opening hours of the station kitchen when making your reservation!
You are also welcome to use the guest kitchens if you are otherwise engaged during regular meal times. Be sure to place a label with your name on any food supplies stored in a guest kitchen.
