Open University: Student's digital skills
The course is part of the general studies and is obligatory for all students pursuing a bachelor’s degree. The course is recommended to be completed as soon as possible after the beginning of studies.

Student’s digital skills is a 3 credit course aiming at providing information about the digital learning environment of the University of Helsinki and the programs needed when studying at the university. The course also introduces the basics of word processing, spreadsheets, slide shows and video making, choosing the right tool for the task and transferring information between different programs.

Student's digitals skills studies

The course is based on self-study materials that can be found online. The student demonstrates the knowledge and skills required for passing the course in an online competence test.

Student's digital skills: orientation 2 cr is part of the general studies and is obligatory for all students pursuing a bachelor’s degree.

Student's digital skills: advances skills 1 cr  is part of the general studies and is obligatory for all students pursuing a bachelor’s degree except for some degree programmes in Kumpula and Meilahti.
