Research helps develop well-functioning and fair technologies

Technological advances are transforming our lives: knowledge processed from data is increasingly widely utilised, space is used in the development of new services, and quantum technology will soon make it possible to solve computational problems hitherto beyond our reach.

Research and teaching at the University of Helsinki are multidisciplinary, with computer scientists, space physicists and legal scholars, among others, working in tandem. We are experts in the technological needs of the future and how to ensure fair and sustainable development.
