Onni Talas Foundation Marine Science Discovery internship at Tvärminne

The Onni Talas Foundation supports Baltic Sea research at Tvärminne Zoological Station. The Marine Science Discovery internship aims at providing young students with insights into conducting marine research through practical involvement in ongoing research projects at the station.

This year (2023) five internships of 2 months each are offered in the period April-September 2023. The internships are intended for Bachelor students (year 2-3) and are open for students from all universities in Finland. Breaks for attending e.g. university field courses are possible. The interns will participate in a range of research activities, including both field and laboratory work. PhD students/post docs are also involved as mentors for the interns.

The tax-free scholarship is 1500€ per month. In addition to the grant, the foundation will pay for accommodation at the station and moderate travel costs.
