After two years of pandemic, we hope to see as many of the HEPP3 participants in Helsinki as possible. A week before the Midsummer, the capital of Finland is a perfect place to meet colleagues from different countries. Here comes some practical information to make it easier to plan your stay in Helsinki during the conference.
Conference takes place in Athena, a University building in Kruununhaka, in the immediate vicinity of the city centre and the best sights of Helsinki. The address of Athena is Siltavuorenpenger 3.
Food and restaurants:
There are many nice lunch opinions nearby Athena. Some of our recommendations are listed below:
Cafe Viola, Ravintola Korea House, Family 家常菜馆, 16 Boom, Espresso Edge, Zen Sushi
Conference dinner:
On 16 June, you are warmly welcomed to join for a conference dinner in Panimoravintola, which is located in Suomenlinna. Suomenlinna is an island in front of Helsinki just a 15-minute ferry tour from the Kauppatori harbour. In 1991, the Suomenlinna fortress was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List as a unique monument of military architecture. You can book a ticket for the dinner in the registration form of HEPP3 conference.
