Think Corner Fönster

Fönster is a smaller event venue at street level, with a floor-to-ceiling window providing a view onto Yliopistonkatu and the Porthania building. Fönster is suitable for events with 40–50 attendees.

Fönster at Think Corner is available for one- or two-hour events from Monday to Thursday between 9 AM and 7 PM, and on Fridays between 9 AM and 4 PM. Events cannot be held simultaneously in Stage and Fönster. Evening hours are primarily reserved for main events in Stage.

Route from the building entrance to the facility 

  • The entrance is located at the corner of Fabianinkatu and Yliopistonkatu. The entrance has a ramp with a gradient of approximately 4.9 degrees. The ramp slopes sideways, resulting in a threshold of over 20 mm at a width of 800 mm at the bottom of the ramp. 
  • The outer door at the entrance opens with a button. There is a 25 mm threshold in front of the door. Behind the door is a vestibule, from which you can continue through a second button-operated door. This door has no threshold.

Getting around the facility 

  • The facility's floor is level throughout.

Furniture and accessible spaces 

  • The facility has movable furniture.

Presentation area 

  • The facility has a presentation area. 

Sound and lighting 

  • The facility is not equipped with a hearing induction loop or other assistive sound transmission system. 
  • One wall is entirely made of windows. The amount of light varies depending on the time of year and day. The space cannot be fully darkened.

  • Sound: 4 wireless handheld microphones and Genelec loudspeakers
  • Video: A 110-inch display wall (composed of four 55-inch screens), aspect ratio 16:9, HDMI connection

The broad selection at Tiedekulma Cafe can provide food and drinks for any event. Nutritious breakfasts and lunches, sumptuous snacks, hors d’oeuvres and drinks – we can do it all. The Think Corner event venues are licensed to serve alcohol.

Booking

Enquiries on the suitability and availability of Fönster must be made no less than two weeks before the desired event date. 

Please check the availability of Fönster in  before submitting a facility enquiry. Confirmed bookings are marked in the calendar with blue and orange boxes.
