The Future Universities Roundtable, Wednesday March 25

In 2040 University of Helsinki will celebrate its 400th Anniversary.

A select group of academic leaders has been invited to the special invitation-only event, THE FUTURE UNIVERSITIES ROUNDTABLE, to exchange views on e.g. the kind of changes that will take place in the operational environment of universities, how universities can respond to the great challenges they will face & the kind of future infrastructure that will be needed for research, teaching and studying. The Roundtable is hosted by the University of Helsinki Vision400 Group, which has been assigned to define what the University of Helsinki can be and hopes to be in 2040. The Future Universities Roundtable takes place in the Kaisa House, University Main Library, City Center Campus.

  • We will arrange the transportation from and to the airport according to the flight information you submit via the form.
  • Transportation from and to the hotel will be arranged for respective events on Wednesday, March 25 and on Thursday, March 26.

Dress Code

  • Dress code for Future Universities Roundtable is smart casual.
  • Dress code for the Anniversary Celebration is white tie (with white waistcoat) with decorations. The Rector of the University of Helsinki will don his complete academic regalia and asks respectfully the guests to act similarly.
