The University of Helsinki is now welcoming ambitious and outstanding proposals for collaboration between our researchers and partners in North America. This opportunity is designed to support proposals that enhance our collaboration with Canadian and U.S. partners.
Basic information
The main objective of the call is to support new or existing research collaboration between researchers based in Canada or the U.S. and researchers at the University of Helsinki.
Expected outcomes of the funded projects are increased and strengthened collaboration between our university and North American counterparts, further advances in our fields of expertise, long-term academic collaboration, various joint activities such as e.g. workshops and seminars, educational collaboration, applications for international funding and joint publications in renowned journals.
The call opens on 14 April and closes on 12 May 2025 at 16.00 (EEST).
FARIA’s coordinating institutions, Aalto University and the University of Helsinki, are now welcoming proposals for ambitious and impactful initiatives strengthening collaboration between researchers based in Finland and the U.S.
Special emphasis is put on projects supporting FARIA’s objectives for 2025-2028
One successful project will be awarded the total grant of 50.000€, with the Aalto PI and the University of Helsinki PI receiving 25.000€ each to be spent at their own university. For the funding allocated to the University of Helsinki, the funding must be spent before 15 November 2025.
