Global Innovation Network for Teaching and Learning (GINTL)

The Global Innovation Network for Teaching and Learning (GINTL) brings together dedicated researchers and practitioners from Finland and our partners from China, India and the African continent.

We want to contribute towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goal 4: “Ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all”.

 WHAT:

Our goals are to

  1. Co-create research-based ‘solutions’ to global education challenges.
  2. Increase meaningful partnerships between GINTL HEIs and key allies
  3. Inspire and initiate new internationalisation measures in Finnish HEIs

HOW:

  • GINTL offers a platform for co-creating better education for all.
  • GINTL helps to create sustainable and effective education solutions.
  • GINTL is committed to developing teacher training firmly based on research.
  • GINTL works jointly with your organisation to co-create sustainable and research-based solutions that serve your particular needs.
  • Operations and co-development of the network are guided by clear, jointly agreed goals and ethical principles formed by the participating Finnish universities and universities of applied sciences together with partners in the African countries, India and China.

GINTL is a global pilot network created within the internationalization program introduced by the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture in 2020. The University of Helsinki coordinates cooperation with Africa and China and the University of Jyväskylä coordinates cooperation with India.
