Joining gift for new alumni

Those joining the Helsinki Alumni community between 11 November and 1 December 2024 will receive a 30 % discount on books published by Gaudeamus.

After registering, you have received a thank you message with a code to redeem the discount. The code is valid until 31.12.2024. The code is personal and cannot be shared with others. With the campaign code, you can get 30% off all normally priced books in the Gaudeamus online store until the end of 2024.

Instructions for using the discount

  1. Add your books to the basket. 
  2. Write the discount code to the relevant field (Kampanjakoodi) and press the Use button (Käytä). After this, the cost will be updated to reflect the discount. 
  3. Fill out all the other information normally. 

 

In addition to this discount, we will be raffling out University-themed prizes. 

Prizes include:

  • afternoon tea with the Chancellor
  • Open University gift cards
  • tickets to Science Museum Liekki and Finnish Museum of Natural History
  • Helsinki Alumni branded items, like canvas bags
  • University of Helsinki merch, like college shirts

Gaudeamus

Gaudeamus is one of the leading academic publishers in Finland. They publish literature from various academic fields for the purposes of Finnish academia and university students. 

They also publish non-fiction titles for a wider audience. Their aim is to offer readers in-depth, research-based knowledge, as well as interesting and enjoyable reading experiences.

Most of the publications are in Finnish, but they also have a selection of English titles available.
