"Me and my cat" MOOC offers an in-depth look at feline behaviour

The course allows you to gain insights into your and your cat’s personality and behaviour through science based on research.

The free open university online course entitled Me and my cat is aimed at everyone interested in feline behaviour and the latest research on the subject.

You can start and complete the course independently online at your own pace. The course helps to understand the behaviour, behavioural problems and personality traits of yourself and your cat as well as the environmental factors behind them. The course consists of texts, accompanying materials and online assignments.

During the course, you will complete various questionnaires about both cats and yourself. The reports provided will allow you to better understand the specific needs and behaviour of cats. At the same time, you will help a research group led by Hannes Lohi at the University of Helsinki to collect important information for future research.

Everyone can take the course even if they do not have a cat of their own. Individuals completing the course will also have the opportunity to take the most comprehensive genetic test for cats on the market.
