The registration fees are in the table below. The registration closes on May 19, 2024.

The “students and LIC” category includes Bachelor’s, Master/ PhD students and participants from Low Income Countries. Post-doc participants are considered academic participants. “Professionals” include designers, artisans, crafters, and people working in the industry. For companies the price includes one participation in the conference and a stand for the distribution of company brochures, products etc. in a specific showroom. Companies wishing to register more than one participant need to do it via the “professionals” category.
Lunch and coffee during the conference days are included in the fee as well as the exhibition opening and get-together at Craft Corner on Monday June 3, 2024 and the reception at the City Hall of Helsinki the following day, Tuesday June 4, 2024.
The gala dinner on Thursday (June 6, 2024) is 80 €. It includes a starter, main course, and dessert along with two glasses of wine. There is a choice of either fish or vegetarian main course, please mark it on the registration page. Dietary restrictions may also be marked. The number of participants in the gala dinner is limited to 150 participants.
The morning of Friday June 7 is reserved for excursions in Helsinki and Espoo. You can choose only one excursion. The maximum capacity for each excursion is 20 participants. Some of the excursions are free of charge since they are within walking distance from the University and there are no entrance fees (Kaisaniemi Botanic Garden, Lapuan Kankurit Show Room and Finnish Textile and Fashion). For the museums (Design Museum and Ateneum) the fee for entrance and guidance is 6 €, and both are within walking distance from the University. Ioncell, Aalto Bio2, Aalto ARTS, Origin by Ocean and VTT biotechnology are all located in Otaniemi, Espoo. The return ticket for the metro to Espoo is 6 €. Marimekko and Nanso are located a short metro ride east from the city centre. All of the excursions begin at the University and are led by a conference organiser who will take care of paying the required transportation and entrance fees. The 6 € fee is charged at your registration.

Payment of registration fees
Accommodation
The conference organiser has booked room quotas for the conference participants in the following hotels. The below mentioned prices are only valid for reservations made via the registration form. Early reservation of accommodation is recommended. Please be advised even though quotas may fill up, the accommodations listed below might have vacancy. You can make a reservation through the hotel's own website (see links provided below).
To guarantee your hotel reservation, a deposit of one night's room rate is required. The deposit will be deducted from the total accommodation cost, that is to be settled at the hotel upon departure.
The hotel room rates include VAT and breakfast. Rooms are reserved on a first come - first served basis. For late bookings, availability can’t be guaranteed.

Cancellation and refund policy
All cancellations must be made in writing to biocolours2024@confedent.fi
For registration, social events and accommodation (cancellation or early departure), a fee of EUR 50 will be applied to all cancellations made by May 1, 2024.
No refunds will be made for cancellations made after May 1, 2024.
100% payment to be made if fees not paid at the time of cancellation. No-show is not considered a cancellation. Denial of a visa application to Finland does not entitle to any refunds.
The conference organisers cannot accept liability for personal injuries sustained, for loss of, or damage to property belonging to participants (or their accompanying persons), either during or as a result of the conference. The registration fees do not include insurance of any kind so please check the validity and coverage of your own travel insurance.
The organisers do not take responsibility for force majeure reasons for cancellation of the event (natural disaster, outbreak of severe contagious epidemic, major strikes etc.). In such case, the organising committee will decide upon refunding of paid fees.
