I'm an economic sociologist interested in how the uses we invent for new technologies are shaped by how we imagine the economy to work. My research concerns the data economy, data activism, ghost work and automated decision-making. In my upcoming doctoral thesis I examine alternative imaginaries about the data economy developed in a data activism initiative. My work has been published in e.g. New Media & Society, Big Data & Society and Surveillance & Society.
