The Production Animal Hospital is responsible for acute cases during evenings, nights and weekends in the municipality of Mäntsälä as well as Orimattila, Myrskylä, Artjärvi and Pukkila in the Joint Authority for Päijät-Häme Social and Health Care.

In the Joint Authority for Päijät-Häme Social and Health Care, a separate emergency service for small animals is provided in Lahti on Fridays 16.00–20.00 and on Saturdays and Sundays 8.00–20.00. Phone 0600 392 121

During emergency service, patients are treated in order of priority, and appointments cannot be made, for example, for small animal patients. Visits to production animal farms during emergency service are subject to higher fees.

Small animals
The outpatient department treats most cases of acute illness. During emergency service, the outpatient department charges higher outpatient and treatment fees.

In the Helsinki region, emergency services are provided by the University’s Small Animal Hospital and Equine Hospital.
