Two LECI Group PhD candidates, Jasmiina Korhonen and Lauri Pynnönen, have received highly competed salaried positions from the Doctoral Programme of School, Education, Society, and Culture (SEDUCE), to carry out full-time research work January 2019 onwards. Jasmiina Korhonen received four years of funding for her Dissertation project entitled “Emergent leadership in student-led collaborative activity in a school-based makerspace”. Her dissertation is supervised by Professor Kristiina Kumpulainen and Adjunct Professor Anu Kajamaa. Lauri Pynnönen received two years of funding for his dissertation project entitled “Digital game-based learning in emergency contexts”, supervised by Professor Kristiina Kumpulainen and Professor Lasse Lipponen.
