The theme of the 2023 Alumni Day on 28 March is energy transition
The energy transition affects us all. At Alumni Day, we will stop at to consider what this really means.
The energy transition is not just about replacing old technologies with new ones, it permeates our whole society and requires us to make big changes. If this change happens quickly and uncontrollably, some of us may find ourselves in an unequal position. How do we ensure that change happens fairly and safely? What skills do we need to make change happen? And what opportunities does the energy transition bring us?
The Alumni Day will bring our alumni together. The answers will be explored in the Big Hall of the University of Helsinki's Metsätalo lead by the journalist, PhD. Reetta Räty, with our alumni Professor Eva Heiskanen from the Consumer Research Centre at the University of Helsinki and Pekka Salomaa, Director of Energy Markets at the Finnish Energy branch organisation.
After the discussion, you will have the opportunity to find new energy for your own life through shared discussion moments also in a relaxed trilingual atmosphere. Choose your favourite one at the venue or explore them all! You will be able to participate and meet other alumni. You can also recharge with refreshments if you wish.
Alumni, update your knowledge of the world and network with fellow alumni. Welcome to join us on Tuesday 28.3.2022 at 17.
Please note, the panel discussion during the event is conducted in Finnish.
