Gibson cloning

Gibson assembly enables scarless construction of DNA plasmids independent of restriction enzyme cut sites. We use this method to clone cDNAs to AAV-compatible vectors. Ask us about special projects like replacing the promoter of a vector, or adding tags to your cDNA.
Cloning into AAV expression vectors

Our collaboration with enables you to deliver and express your gene of choice in an AAV-mediated setting. You can choose the cDNA from or deliver us your plasmid. You can choose either CAG or CMV promoter.

The cloning includes verification of the cDNA sequence by Sanger sequencing. Finally a DNA midiprep of the cloned plasmid is produced and delivered to HelVI-AAV. Contact HelVI-AAV , ) directly to agree about the virus production.

Note! If you choose a cDNA from our ORFeome collection, we may be able to utilize the cheaper and faster to clone into AAV vector. Please ask us about the cloning options.

Custom cloning projects

Gibson cloning enables the assembly of multiple fragments into a vector. This can be useful in many situations, like:

  • Adding tag or tags to your cDNA or interest
  • Making a vector with a specialized promoter
  • Making your vector Gateway-compatible

Please contact us to suggest a project. We will consider projects based on feasibility and current staff availability.
