Our Faculty’s high-quality research ranges from the investigation of molecular structures to major ecosystem-level questions. Our expertise and the education based on it help solve topical challenges pertaining to the environment, nature and human wellbeing. Our researchers are involved in several international networks and public bodies.

The Faculty’s operational units are located in Helsinki on Viikki Campus and in Lahti on the Lahti University Campus.

Findings made by our international and world-class research groups are needed to tackle challenges relating to the wellbeing of humans and the environment. Our research infrastructures are a prerequisite for conducting research. Our Faculty is involved in a number of national and international research and research infrastructure networks.
