The conference will be held at the University of Helsinki City Centre Campus in the Porthania building, hall PIII (1st floor / street level).

There is a limited amount of discounted rooms per day. Cancellation is possible until 6 pm on the day of arrival.
SCANDIC GRAND MARINA, HELSINKI
The conference guests get a discount using a booking code CGRO. Reservations can be made at scandichotels.com.
You can choose your preferred room type, and receive an additional discount when paying for the reservation upon booking. The cancellation policy for individual bookings depends on the booking type chosen. To confirm the reservation, you must provide a valid credit card information.
Rooms are subject to availability and should be booked 10 days before arrival at the latest.
The conference dinner is in Suomenlinna (The Suomenlinna Sea Fortress https://www.suomenlinna.fi/en/). Suomenlinna is a World Heritage Site, only a 15-minute ferry ride from Helsinki Market Square (Kauppatori). The restaurant is just beside the main dock of Suomenlinna and the address is:

For the ferry ride, you will need an HSL zone AB ticket (see the paragraph "Public transport").
The dinner starts at 19:30, so we recommend taking the ferry that leaves from Kauppatori at 19:00. Please remember to buy your ticket beforehand. Tickets are not sold on board.

For local travel in Helsinki (including travel from and to the airport by train) we recommend that you use the public transport HSL. For the airport, you will need an HSL zone ABC ticket, while for downtown public transport (including the ferry ride to Suomenlinna to the conference dinner on Thursday June 6) an HSL zone AB ticket will be sufficient. You can buy HSL tickets from e.g. R-kiosks or (conveniently) from the HSL app. See https://www.hsl.fi/en for more information.
