Cancellation and refund policy
All cancellations must be made in writing to nndr2025@confedent.fi.
* For cancellations made by or on March 6th, 2025, full refund (50 EUR handling fee will be deducted)
* For cancellations made after March 6th, 2025, no refunds will be made.
100% payment to be made if fees not paid at the time of cancellation. No-show is not considered a cancellation. Denial of a visa application to Finland does not entitle a participant to any refunds.
The conference organisers cannot accept liability for personal injuries sustained, for loss of, or damage to property belonging to participants (or their accompanying persons), either during or as a result of the Conference. The registration fees do not include insurance of any kind so please check the validity and coverage of your own travel insurance.
The organisers do not take responsibility for force majeure reasons for cancellation of the event (natural disaster, outbreak of severe contagious epidemic, major strikes etc.). In such a case, the organising committee reserves the right to decide about refunding of paid registration fees.
Accommodation
Confedent International has booked room quotas for the conference participants in few nearby hotels. Rooms can be booked via the registration form and early reservation of accommodation is recommended.
To guarantee your hotel reservation, a deposit of one night's room rate is required during reservation. The deposit will be deducted from the total accommodation cost, that is to be settled at the hotel upon departure.
The hotel room rates include VAT and breakfast. Rooms are reserved on a first come - first served basis. For late bookings, availability can’t be guaranteed.
If you need to change a booking already made, or if you need additional nights before or after the actual conference days, kindly contact us at nndr2025@confedent.fi after making the initial registration to the conference. Please do not contact the hotel directly regarding changes or additional nights.

Hotel public spaces are rather accessible, but as the building is old there are lots of stairs inside and outside and there are some steps even in some rooms. Hotel has an elevator and rooms are accessible with the elevator. Elevator doorway width is 91 cm. There is a separate cleaning fee for pets and there are separate pet allowing rooms that need to be booked separately.

The Nordic Network on Disability Research has decided to allocate a sum for stipends that cover the cost of the fee for participation in the conference.
These stipends are aimed at persons who wish to participate but face challenges to cover the participation fee (450EUR early-bird price), particularly PhD students with disabilities and researchers with disabilities from the global south. Applicants must, however, still cover traveling cost and accommodation themselves.
The stipend covers the registration fee for the applicant and can be used by the applicant only.
Deadline to leave applications is 15th of January. Conference organisers will contact the applicants by the end of January (31st), which leaves two weeks before early-bird registration ends.
