In Finland we have plenty of expertise on Eastern Europe, Russia and other countries in Eurasia in the field of research, politics, governance, business and culture. No doubt, such expertise will also be required in the future, despite the fact that the situation in world politics has radically changed due to Russia's unprovoked war against Ukraine. In order to maintain a high level of expertise and know-how on different actors and phenomena in Eastern Europe, Russia, and other parts of Eurasia, we need such multidisciplinary programmes as ExpREES. Nationwide ExpREES is a master's-level minor available for degree students of twelve Finnish universities. We train experts for both public and private sectors by offering an excellent selection of courses and highly qualified teachers and thesis supervisors from all the universities in our network.
