Admissions for studies starting in autumn 2021
Up to 30 applicants who have completed a Finnish matriculation examination, an IB or EB examination or an RP or DIA examination administered in Finland will be admitted based on the results of those examinations.
Applicants can receive up to 132.7 admission points for a Finnish matriculation examination, an IB or EB examination or an RP or DIA examination administered in Finland in accordance with the tables below. The ranking of applicants is based on their admission points.
Applicants receive admission points for four subjects:
- Native language/A language/L1 language
- Mathematics
- The two other tests resulting in the highest points
When calculating admission points for optional tests (e.g., basic or advanced mathematics), only the test resulting in the highest points is taken into account. Applicants receive points only once for the same test.

The criterion for admission based on a Deutsches Internationales Abitur examination administered in Finland is that the applicant has completed the mathematics test with a minimum grade of 8 or has obtained a minimum grade of 13 in the equivalence certificate in mathematics. In addition, those admitted must obtain the minimum points separately determined by the admissions board.
If an applicant has raised the grades of tests included in a matriculation examination, the raised grades will be considered when awarding admission points for the matriculation examination.
If an applicant has completed an Finnish matriculation examination, an IB or EB examination or an RP or DIA examination administered in Finland as well as some of the tests of another before mentioned examination, he or she can also be awarded admission points for these tests. Also in the event that an applicant has completed two (or more) of the before mentioned examinations, tests in both examinations will be taken into account. In both cases, the tests resulting in the highest admission points will be considered. However, an applicant cannot receive points for parallel tests in the same subject or for tests included in the same group of subjects in the points system.
