The Doctoral School in Humanities and Social Sciences (HYMY) provides an ideal environment for multidisciplinary research and networking. HYMY provides a wide variety of transferable skills courses, such as communication skills, academic writing and career planning and coordinates calls for travel grants and salaried positions intended for finalising doctoral theses.

HYMY serves as an umbrella organization for eleven internationally and nationally networked doctoral programmes from five faculties (Arts, Educational Sciences, Law, Social Sciences, and Theology).

HYMY organises events related to doctoral education. For example, the annual thematic HYMY Day discusses different topics such as research impact, authorship issues and career development.
