The International Society for Regional History (ISRH) is excited to announce the III ISRH Global Conference, "Migration in a World of Regions," on September 2025. Event will dive into the fascinating and complex relationship between migration and regions throughout history and culture.
Migration has always been a part of human history, shaping and being shaped by the regions we live in. Whether we are talking about natural areas, institutions, or cultural constructs, regions play a big role in migration, and vice versa. The conference will explore these dynamics through various theoretical and case study approaches.
One of the society’s founder and the vice person in the steering board, Ruralia Institute’s Research Director Sulevi Riukulehto is delighted to see that organizers are enthusiastic and willing to co-operate internationally towards successful conference. After the 2025 conference, it is time to prepare for an in-person conference in Seinäjoki in 2026.
Join for this unique event to explore the connections between migration and regional history.
