The new era of personalized medicine requires a better understanding of the molecular basis of disease, and better tools for prognostic and predictive diagnostics. Our research lab combines biomedical techniques with patient specimens to study relevant pathways in cancer and develop novel diagnostic tools. Our multidisciplinary ovarian cancer team uses prospectively collected and archived specimens for improved subtyping of high-grade serous ovarian cancer, understanding the mechanisms of treatment failure, and developing serum-based diagnostic assays.
