Dr. Patrícia Figueiredo successfully defended her PhD thesis and becomes the 15th Honorary Member of Santos' Lab

The PhD thesis was on "Development of Lignin-based Nanoparticles for Cancer Therapy". This is the 15th PhD dissertation of Prof. Santos' Lab, 11th as main supervision, in the last 9 years. Many congrats Patrícia!

As a result, Patrícia also became the 15th Hon­or­ary Mem­ber of . The Honorary glass piece called "The freshwater pearl” tells a story about the freshwater pearl mussel’s pearl and Finnish nature produced by Kari Alakoski at Mafka & Alakoski Oy.

This is a symbol of recognition for everything he did in our lab all these years.
