Indigenous Studies @ UH is excited to announce that we are beginning the publication a new podcast series featuring some of the leading academics from our discipline! Each episode, a special guest does a deep dive into their research and interests with our trainee Maren Frost, giving us insights into some of the exciting and diverse work happening in our field. Some of the upcoming episodes will cover topics including Indigenous languages, more-than-human relationality, Indigenous arts and technologies, Indigenous education, biocultural heritage, temporalities, law and well-being, and Indigenous research ethics and methodologies. 

The guest for our first episode is , a Tyva researcher from UH who specializes in more-than-human relations, Tyvan language, and Indigenous sustainability. Listen in on a wide-ranging discussion that explores some of her current work and a look into her new book Songs of Tyva: A Guide to Tyvan Language and Culture. In addition, next week’s episode will feature , a Komi researcher who recently completed her PhD entitled "Place, Language, and Belonging: Being Komi in Contemporary Syktyvkar, Komi Republic".
