We investigate various aspects of quantum mechanics including its foundations, open quantum systems, quantum thermodynamics, measurement theory in relativistic scenarios, quantum algorithms, quantum simulation, and the quantum-to-classical crossover. We are part of the thriving Finnish quantum environment, including both experimental and theoretical groups at the Finnish Center of Excellence in Quantum Technologies, InstituteQ, and the recently founded Finnish quantum flagship. We are actively involved in EduQ — the education initiative of InstituteQ — and are partners of the european projects DigiQ and QTIndu.
We collaborate with several international universities, including the University of Milan, the University of the Balearic Islands, Trinity College Dublin, the University of Florence, and Queen's University Belfast, and with different companies focused on quantum physics, such as Algorithmiq Ltd and Bluefors Oy.
