With the objective to train highly qualified experts with the skills required for both professional careers in research and other positions of expertise, the courses offered to doctoral candidates at DSHealth cover scientific and academic topics as well as transferable skills and career planning.
Please note that most courses require prior registration. Shortly after closing the course registration, course applicants will receive an e-mail concerning participation in the course. If the number of course applicants exceeds the number of available seats, the selection of course participants is typically based on:
- Order of submission
- Status and affiliation of course applicants (1st priority: doctoral candidates of the organizing doctoral programme/Doctoral School in Health Sciences)
- Motivation for participating the course (when applicable, stated on the course application form)
Doctoral candidates and students at the University of Helsinki are required to register to the transferrable skills courses organized by DSHealth through WebOODI (using the University of Helsinki Student ID Number).
Doctoral candidates or undergraduates coming from outside the University of Helsinki (e.g. from Universities within the NorDoc network) as well as other research staff may apply to the transferrable skills courses organized by DSHealth using an e-form.
Please note! In some cases there may be a separate e-form for registering to symposiums or other bigger events organized by DSHealth. Information on how to register is available on the course webpages (https://courses.helsinki.fi/).
