A lean-to shelter (laavu) and a dry toilet will be built at Tvärminne Zoological Station to enhance the experience of visitors coming to explore the nature trail. The lean-to shelter and dry toilet will improve the overall visitor experience, especially for those visiting outside the opening hours of the office and main building. They will also reduce pressure on the sensitive surroundings in the nature reserve. The nature trail is popular among all visitors to Tvärminne. As a result of the project, even more groups will be able to visit the nature trail, enjoy their packed lunches, and plan their visit according to a schedule that suits them best. The project will be carried out in spring 2026, so that everything is ready for the busiest period of use during summer and autumn.
