Tvärminne Zoological Station

Tvärminne Zoological Station (TZS) is a marine station located at the entrance to the Gulf of Finland. It is one of three biological research stations belonging to the  at the University of Helsinki. The stations serve as centres for a large variety of high-quality biological research and offer facilities for field courses and seminars.

The services offered at TZS are part of the European Marine Biological Resource Centre () infrastructure network, which provides access to marine ecosystems and experimental platforms, and related services, to researchers from both academia and industry.
