In October, our team made significant progress in procuring Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) machines for the University of Nairobi and Lúrio University. Several meetings with the supplier helped to clarify and advance the final steps in the procurement process. Additionally, all project members had the opportunity to review and provide feedback on the study protocol and questionnaires for our upcoming study and practical learning in primary schools in Nairobi, Kenya, and Nampula Province, Mozambique.
The project board has officially approved DigiCampus as the digital platform for our upcoming learning materials, following a recommendation from the team focusing on digital platforms. We are also excited to announce that a new logo for the FoodLeader project has been selected and will be featured across our communication materials.
In mid and late October, two project members from Lúrio University, Mozambique, traveled to Finland. These visits are part of the FM NutriEdu project and are also crucial for the FoodLeader project, as they provide an opportunity for on-site collaboration at the University of Helsinki.
The coordinators and leaders prepared for the Finnish National Agency for Education (EDUFI) monitoring meeting held on November 1st, which is part of the Higher Education Partnership (HEP) Programme. Additionally, they attended the HEP Coordinators meeting on October 29th, focusing on annual reporting.
