One Health Day

The World One Health Day is held annually on the 3rd of November. It brings attention to the need for a One Health approach to address shared health threats at the human-animal-environment interface (CDC).

In 2024, November 3rd falls on Sunday and the HOH Helsinki One Health and One Health Finland joint panel discussion at Think Corner (Tiedekulma) will be held on Monday 4th November at 5-7 pm EET.

Una Europa One Health Summer School 2024

The Una Europa One Health Summer School 2024 was organized at University of Helsinki!

The summer school brought together doctoral researchers from a range of disciplines and backgrounds to study and critically reflect on the idea, history and practice of One Health.

Research in action: Global challenges and multispecies justice

The RESET kick-off event presented the project both to the academic community and to a wider audience. The programme highlighted the value of transdisciplinary and interdisciplinary research across academic disciplines and through knowledge co-production with stakeholders outside the academia.

One Health webinar: Vaccinations for One Health

This webinar set out to explore the connection between a One Health approach and the vaccination world. With a multisectoral and multidisciplinary approach, international speakers delved into different topics – such as vaccination hesitancy and inclusiveness, virology and vaccine development, human and animal vaccines, public health, science communication on RNA vaccines, and many others.

The seminar was organized jointly by Una Europa One Health and MSD.

HOH Helsinki One Health Researcher forum

The annual researcher forums are a venue for Helsinki One Health scientists to present and discuss their ongoing research.

One Big Issue - Antimicrobial Resistance

Recording of this open webinar on antimicrobial resistance (AMR), one of the top 10 global public health threats, is available through registration.

The multisectoral and multidisciplinary webinar brought together academic and industrial experts from the human and veterinary and environmental sectors, and new players, including economics and social sciences – all together essential in the fight against AMR.

The seminar was organzed jointly by Una Europa One Health and MSD.

Science Day Viikki 2023

Scientists from University of Helsinki presented their research activities in short talks or posters and are available for discussion with students and other participants. General information on doctoral education and applying for doctoral programmes will also be available.
