“We are offering opportunities to conduct genuinely significant research, which will help better understand a wide variety of national and global challenges related to sustainability, the climate and wellbeing, as well as produce potential solutions for them. The recently opened positions are focused, among other things, on sustainable food production, the marketing and politics of agricultural products, land use and business operations related to forests,” says Ritva Toivonen, dean of the Faculty.
“We are looking to add top-level experts of sustainable renewable resource utilisation to our community of multidisciplinary scientists. What we expect from the new recruits is that they bring to the table cross-disciplinary new expertise that will renew and boost teaching and research throughout the Faculty.”
Themes associated with the positions include global forests and land use, insects in both fields and forests, forest land features, and the effect of nutrients on human physiology and health.
Applications for the positions are accepted until 30 March 2020.
