Major changes are not common in the annual ranking. However, the University of Helsinki clearly improved its ranking in the evaluations of international employers.
“Last year’s result was good, and the University continued to improve on all areas of the ranking. The clear improvement of the employer evaluations is particularly delightful and indicates a boost to the University’s international reputation,” says Markus Laitinen, head of international affairs.
The University of Helsinki achieved its highest ranking in arts and humanities (50th) as well as in life sciences and medicine (63rd).
The QS World University Rankings are conducted annually among the top universities in the world based on set indicators and by subject. The ranking includes more than 800 universities around the world.
