New Board of the University of Helsinki elected

The Board of the University of Helsinki consists of 12 members, of whom seven represent the University community and five are appointed from outside the community.

In elections held on 23–25 November 2021, University staff chose the members representing the University community on the Board of the University of Helsinki for a four-year term from 1 January 2022 to 31 December 2025. The groups of the University community represented on the Board include professors, other teaching and research staff, as well as other staff and students.

The Student Union of the University of Helsinki has appointed student representatives for the Board for a two-year term from 1 January 2022 to 31 December 2023.

In spring 2021, the University Collegium selected Niklas Bruun, Ilona Herlin, Sanni Lehtinen, Mari Pantsar and Ilona Riipinen as the Board members from outside the University community (news article in Finnish only).
