Wider implications of war in Ukraine, online panel, Friday 4 March at 13:00-14:30

The Aleksanteri Institute, the Finnish Centre for Russian and Eastern European Studies at the University of Helsinki strongly condemns Russia’s war against Ukraine. Our thoughts and sympathy go to all Ukrainians under military attack. We express our solidarity to all who oppose the war, in Russia and elsewhere. We continue making scholarly analysis on the region, in collaboration with our colleagues globally.

The Aleksanteri Institute invites you to a panel discussion “Russia’s war against Ukraine - wider implications” on Friday, 4 March at 13:00-14:30, via Zoom. In this seminar, our experts will offer insights on the war in Ukraine from various perspectives. What are the wider implications for Ukraine, its neighbouring countries, and for a broader post-Soviet space including Central Asia? Why did Russia invade Ukraine and what is the situation with Russian war opposition?
