The Helsinki event was the first in a series of workshops on metal-detecting and archaeological citizen science . The series Treasure Hunters to Citizen Scientists takes place 2022-2023 in Helsinki Finland, Bergen Norway and Århus Denmark, and aims to examine the various citizen science and heritage management challenges presented by metal-detecting, specifically through engagement and consultation with diverse audiences and stake-holder groups, and specifically in the Nordic countries.
