The Ukrainian Studies Research Community was established to strengthen the existing cooperation at the Faculty of Humanities, University of Helsinki, and to increase academic collaboration with Ukrainian researchers and institutions on Ukrainian Studies.
The activities the research community organizes in 2026-2027 support academic collaboration and strengthen the role of Ukrainian Studies both at the University of Helsinki and more broadly in Finland. The research community also provides a venue for timely public debate on Ukrainian Studies, Ukrainian agency, Ukraine’s role in Europe, and Ukrainian domestic politics.
