Organisations are marketed to students and graduates on the JobTeaser platform with company profiles. You can see what the profile looks like in the template profile created by Career Services:

Create a new one or update your existing employer profile. Links to open your profile and log in:

You can also create language versions of your profile if you wish.

  • Please fill in at least the following fields in addition to the mandatory ones:
  • Useful links/Website and social media links
  • Company presentation video/ Institutional video
  • Please include a video introduction of your organisation, if available.
  • Key information: e.g. year of establishment, number of employees and location of headquarters
  • Frequently asked questions/FAQ
  • It is worth answering something in the FAQ section, as these questions will automatically appear in the profile published for students.
  • Company Overview
  • Please add photos to the media gallery. They will appear in the top corner of the profile and will enliven the profile.
  • Custom message for our students (additional instructions below). This is an important field.

Custom message for our students

Target your message to the students and graduates of the University of Helsinki. The range of competences of graduates is wide. Check out the degree programmes at the university (degree programmes in Finnish) and (masters’ programmes in English).

In this field, you can market your participation in the Career Day event.

E.g.

"Company x will participate in the HelsinkiUNI Career Day recruitment event on 24 January 2025. You will meet us at the employers' pitching session. Come and hear about our summer jobs and/or traineeships in fields x and x. In particular, we aim for students from x fields of education.”

If you have chosen to also hold a Q&A session and possibly one-to-one discussions, you can add information about these to the text.

“In addition to the pitching session, you can come and meet us at our Q&A event or make an appointment with our expert for a one-to-one discussion.”

You can also describe the content of the Q&A session in more detail.

Career Services will create JobTeaser event pages through which students register for both Q&A sessions and one-to-one discussions. Career Services will add the event links to this field.

Deadline: profile updated by 17 December 2024. Send an email to us at employerservices@helsinki.fi when the profile is ready. We will start student marketing before the Holidays.

Through your company profile, you can advertise the jobs and internships you want to market for students. You can submit all your vacancies, but we ask that you submit at least one job or traineeship advertisement containing information about your open positions. You can direct students to your own career pages to read your advertisements in more detail. If you have open positions in several different fields, you can choose the most suitable job category for the job or internship advertisement, because you can only choose one job category for a single job advertisement. We market job offers to students according to the target group.

Deadline: as soon as possible, as this information is essential for the student marketing.

Time: 24 January 2025 at 9 – 12 o’clock (UTC+2)

Each organisation has ten (10) minutes to pitch their career opportunities to students. Career Services acts as an administrator on the platform. We will deliver a link and the exact time for your pitch before the event. So, prepare a concise presentation of your career opportunities.

Content of the presentation. Students' wishes from previous years:

  • In your pitching, instead of the company's turnover etc., focus on what kind of jobs or traineeships you are offering and what kind of skills you are looking for. Students evaluate whether the competence produced by their own degree programme is suitable for the career opportunities you offer.
  • Give concrete examples of work tasks and the skills required for them.
  • In addition to values, students are also interested in remote work opportunities, salary and other possible benefits.

Technical requirements for the presentation: max. 7 slides in addition to the start and end slides (10 min.). 16:9 aspect ratio. Prefer a simple presentation, i.e. do not use animations, timings, videos, or transitions in your presentation. We combine all pitchers' slides into a single PowerPoint presentation and extra formatting slows down the sharing of the presentation in Zoom.

Name, title and email of the presenter: we need the name and title so that we can introduce the presenters on their turn.

Deadline: Submit your Power Point slides show  and name of the presenter to us (employerservices@helsinki.fi) in advance by 22.1.2025 at the latest.

Companies and organisations will pitch on a shared platform in the order listed below.

The Career Services gathers these links into an event page on JobTeaser for student marketing purposes. Students are asked to register in advance, but it is also possible to participate in the sessions without registering if the organisation's career opportunities arouse interest during the pitching round.

In your own Q&A session, you can answer students' questions or tell students more about your organisation's career opportunities. In the description text, you can open the content of your Q&A session.

One expert can take 4 bookings per hour. Please provide us with the following details of all your experts who will take appointments at the event:

  • Name, title, short introduction and timetable. In addition to the name and title, please include information about what themes the students can discuss with the expert (1-2 sentences are sufficient). For example, if the expert is responsible for recruitment in a particular sector or programme. Example:

You can discuss our companies summer jobs or traineeships with me. I am responsible for coordinating our Trainee Programme.
Please also indicate when the expert will be available to meet with students. The time allocated per student is 15 min (10 min discussion + 5 min break). Time slots can be given between 9.00 and 14.00. The time can be used in full or in part.

JobTeaser will provide you with the following information about the students who have booked an appointment: name, CV, field of study, stage of studies, year of graduation, language skills and what the student specifically wants to discuss. If you would like to include your own pre-question for the registration, please let Career Services know by 18 December 2023 at the latest.
  • Teams, Zoom or other link for the appointments. Each expert should have their own Teams, Zoom or other link to welcome students. We recommend the use of a waiting room to manage the admission of students at the right time. We will add appointment links to JobTeaser in advance.

Students can book appointments until Tuesday, January 21, 2025 – please go through the bookings after this date at latest. If necessary, appointments can also be cancelled in JobTeaser.
