Helsinki Metabolomics Center
Helsinki Metabolomics Center (HMC) is a mass spectrometry-based metabolomics analytical services (metabolomics, lipidomics and fluxomics/isotope tracing) providing core facility of Faculty of Medicine, University of Helsinki. Member of the Biocenter Finland on RCF roadmap with lighthouse status, and HiLIFE national infrastructure platforms. Offers services with open access policy nationally and internationally to both academic and non-academic customers in many diverse scientific fields.
Center provides analytics on research area for basic, biomedical, preclinical and clinical research:
- Targeted isotope tracing/fluxomics
- High-throughput LC-MS global metabolomics/lipidomics
- Targeted quantitative custom metabolites and small molecules
- MS-imaging
HMC is collaborating regarding personnel change and unified analytical workflows for omics and data integration:
- Meilahti Proteomics Unit (HiLIFE)
- Meilahti Biodata (HiLIFE)
- FIMM Digital Microscopy and Molecular Pathology Unit (HiLIFE)
- Biocenter Kuopio Metabolomics, University of Eastern Finland
- Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Helsinki
