Value networks from plant genomics of crops, native plants and forest trees

This Grand Challenge consortium focuses on performing high-impact fundamental research on plants, primary production and management of crop plants and trees, and on translating this knowledge into practical applications. The existing proficiency contributes to improvement of agricultural and forest value-chains, and unites the fragmented research at the Viikki Campus.

The aim is to strengthen synergy between basic and translational research, and collaboration with stakeholders in business and markets based on utilization of renewable agricultural and forest resources.
