This e-book service provides access to some 140,000 e-books in different disciplines. You can carry out various searches in the books or browse them by subject. Users have access to the Ebook Central Academic Complete collection and a range of individual e-books that the Helsinki University Library subscribes to.

You need to create Ebook Central user account (NB! Not your University of Helsinki ID) to download the book.

You can download a book to your device for seven or 14 days. To download a book, you need the free Adobe Digital Editions application or the Aldiko application (mobile devices) and an Adobe ID, which you can create on the Adobe website.

During download, the service will also ask you to log in to your Ebook Central user account (NB! Not your University of Helsinki ID) to download the book.

Printing

You can print 15% of the total number of pages in a book. The service includes a counter that shows the printing rights remaining.
