The Faculty of Biological and Environmental Sciences offers the most extensive opportunities in Finland for the study of basic natural phenomena, from the molecular level to ecosystems. Our teaching is based on solid basic research and provides unlimited opportunities for the application of knowledge to, for example, fighting the environmental issues and diseases that threaten humanity.
The right to complete a degree in one of the Faculty’s three Bachelor’s programmes may be obtained through the main student admissions, the Open University or a transfer procedure. Students who have completed a Bachelor’s degree outside the Faculty of Biological and Environmental Sciences can apply to complete a degree in one of the Faculty’s five Master’s programmes. You can also study at the Faculty of Biological and Environmental Sciences without completing a degree (other study rights).
