Many University of Helsinki actors from students to academics, from rectorate to individual teachers and other employees, have active coopration channels between Finland and the United States. The University of Helsinki has also for decades participated the Fulbright Finland Foundation cooperation. Many Fulbright scholars have strengthened the cooperation between the countries through research and education.
The Helsinki Alumni team, in cooperation with Fulbright Finland Foundation and the Embassy of Finland in the USA, build and nourish the inspiration of the USA Alumni and Friends Network. Events are held both online and in person. Some of the events are larger networking events, some more informal coffee morning events or other get-togethers.

The first Helsnki Alumni USA Alumni & Friends event was organized online in March 2021. This event was organized in cooperation with Fulbright Finland Foundation and he Embassy of Finland in Washington.
During the event we discussed about UH alumni activities. We also had opportunity to participate an interesting discussion on future education with our guest speakers, professors Auli Toom and Thomas Hatch.
