The theme of the Annual Finnish Social Psychology Conference in 2024 focuses on contemporary global challenges in forming and maintaining socially and ecologically sustainable societies. We invite scholars in social psychology and related fields to join us in discussing how social sciences can advance the aim of adapting human behavior to ensure the functioning of ecosystems and creating necessary conditions for a good life in communities that are fair, diverse, and democratic.
The theme of the 2024 conference simultaneously marks the upcoming launch of a new cross-institutional course module, "Social Psychological Perspectives on Sustainability," offered jointly by the University of Helsinki, the University of Eastern Finland, and the University of Tampere.
