Registration and accommodation

To register for the conference and to make an accommodation reservation, please complete the on-line registration form HERE

Reservations will be handled on a “first come – first served” basis. Each form is to be filled in individually by only one participant. If you have problems with completing the on-line form, please contact the local conference secretariat at Confedent International:

The registeration fees for the Nordic-Baltic ISCAR 2022 are detailed below:

All in-person prices include lunch and coffee breaks during the conference. Online prices will include the opportunity to participate in all online and hybrid sessions, keynotes and the conference social program (some limitations may apply).

Registration closes for presenters 31 March 2022.

Invoice payment:

• Invoicing fee EUR 18 will be added to all invoices. Note that an additional fee of EUR 18 will be charged for any changes to a sent invoice (e.g. invalid invoicing address or additional data not given during registration).
• The invoice reference number must show as identification on bank transactions. The invoice will include all necessary international bank information for the bank transfer. All bank charges should be covered by the payer.
• Registration and other reservations will be confirmed only once a full payment has been received.

Credit card payment:

• The following credit card are accepted: Visa, MasterCard and Maestro.
• Credit card payments are processed via an SSL secured credit card payment link at the end of the on-line registration form.
• Registration and other reservations will be confirmed only once a full payment has been received.

The Conference Organisers have booked room quotas for the conference participants in the following hotels. When reservation is done via the registration form the below mentioned prices are valid. Also the availability can be guaranteed for early bookings. Delegates are free to make their own accommodation arrangements but availability or prices cannot be guaranteed and is at delegate’s own risk.

Early reservation of accommodation is recommended.

Accommodation payment

A hotel deposit of one night must be paid in advance together with the registration fees. The hotel deposit will be deducted from the total cost of accommodation. The remaining hotel payment will be charged at the hotel upon check-out. Reservations without full deposit payment cannot be accepted. The hotel has the right to charge all booked nights in case of late cancellation or early departure. 

If you are paying the fees against invoice, kindly note that your reservation is guaranteed only after we have received the payment. If you require accommodation outside the given dates, please contact the local secretariat at nordicbaltic-iscar@confedent.fi

A modern hotel and fresh rooms in Hakaniemi in Helsinki with excellent transport connections. All of the city’s services are easily accessible due to the public transport routes that stop right in front of the hotel. The airport shuttle bus also stops conveniently right in front of the hotel.

Some of the rooms have a view to the sea or Hakaniemi Market Square, others face the quiet courtyard. The hotel has a gym, comfortable sauna facilities and a small lobby bar as well as a shop that is open 24 hours. All areas of our hotel have free Wi-Fi.

The private and cozy Hotel Arthur is located in Helsinki city center right next to the Central Railway Station. Helsinki's most prominent sights, large department stores and theaters are all within walking distance of the hotel. The Helsinki University metro station and tram stops for tram lines 3, 9, 6T and 6 are next to the hotel.

Registration and accommodation cancellations:

An administration fee of EUR 50 will be applied to all cancellations made by April 4, 2022. No refunds will be made for cancellations made after April 4, 2022. 100% payment to be made if fees not paid at the time of cancellation.

Change of registration type:

Registration type may be changed from in-person registration to online registration until April 4, 2022. A handling fee of EUR 15 will be deducted from the refund. If registration type is changed from online registration to in-person registration, difference will be charged accordingly. Registration type may be changed from online registration to in-person registration until April 4, 2022 free of charge. Possible payment method fee will be charged normally (invoicing fee EUR 18 will be added to all invoices, credit card payment has no payment method charge). After April 4, 2022 there are no refunds if changing registration type.

The Conference organisers cannot accept liability for personal injuries sustained, for loss of, or damage to property belonging to participants (or their accompanying persons), either during or as a result of the Conference. The registration fees do not include insurance of any kind so please check the validity and coverage of your own travel insurance. 

The organisers do not take responsibility for force majeure reasons for cancellation of the event (natural disaster, outbreak of severe contagious epidemic, major strikes etc.). In such case, the organising committee will decide upon refunding of paid fees.

Helsinki City Reception will take place on Tuedsay, June 14 at 6 PM (18:00) at the Empiresali of Vanha Raatihuone (Aleksanterinkatu 20). Participation is included in the conference fee. 

The Gala dinner will be held on Wednesday, June 15 in Dylan Marmoripiha (Keskuskatu 3), right in the heart of Helsinki, in Rautatalo designed by Alvar Aalto. The price of the dinner card is EUR 65 and it includes a vegan buffet with 3 courses and 3 pours of wine or non-alcoholic beverages.  

Registration to both social events will be done with the conference registration.

The Nordic-Baltic ISCAR 2022 Organizing Committee follows the global Covid-19 pandemic situation closely and abides by the corona instructions of the University of Helsinki. As of the start of 2022,  the organizing committee is still comitted to hosting the conference in hybrid form. If there is need to change the conference format to a fully onlive form, we will inform all participants as soon as possible.
