Registration is no longer possible, since the conference venue is essentially fully booked. Those who are extremely eager to attend the conference anyhow are advised to contact the conference organizers directly by email to see whether special arrangements can be done. Student registration applies to MSc and PhD students. If registering as a Student, proof of student status (e.g. student ID card or statement from an academic supervisor) must be sent to the organizers (Waldemar Kulig).
Standard registration applies to researchers in the academic sector.
Business registration applies to participants working in the private sector (non-academic sector).

For the Reception by the City of Helsinki (Monday, Aug 20, at 7 pm), there are only 150 places due to space/security conditions. Given this, the City of Helsinki will be able to receive only the first 150 people registered to the conference. We regret that some of the last registered participants may not be able to attend the Reception of the City.
For the Conference Dinner (Tuesday, Aug 21, 7 pm), all registered are welcome.

Participants may request invitation letters to the International Workshop on Biological Membranes conference. Please contact the organizers (Ilpo Vattulainen).
All cancellations must be made in writing to biomembranes2018@confedent.fi
For registrations cancelled by June 24, 2018, the registration fee will be fully refunded (deduction of an administrative fee of EUR 50). For registrations cancelled after June 24, 2018, no refunds will be given. There will be no refund for no-shows. Denial of a visa application to Finland does not entitle a participant to any refunds.
The conference organizers cannot accept liability for personal injuries sustained, for loss of, or damage to property belonging to conference participants (or their accompanying persons), either during or as a result of the conference.
